Saturday at the park was a success! Families started arriving just before noon and the kids got settled in playing at the bounce house. It is such a magical scene to see children enjoy getting to know new friends and enjoying each other’s company.
As the kids grew a bit tired we showed them the last activity of the day and I’d say the most successful one too. We had a long rectangular table set up with blank canvases, liquid paint and paint brushes. The kids all rushed to the table when painting time was announced and they all sat down for some creative quiet time. Each child carefully crafter their painting with the help pf their parents or fellow friends. Turns out kids don’t only need physical activity but they truly need a creative space to let all of their emotions and creativity flow.
Soon after, our game master started getting the kids excited for some friendly competition. Our children enjoyed a wide variety of games ranging from, pickle ball, potato sack , face painting , limbo, hide and seek, you name it. All of the childhood classics.
Overall it was a wonderful day for our community and we were able to raise funds to continue implementing more of these activities in the future. Thank you everyone who come to support, we hope to see you all very soon!!!
